Kalarz Student Hall

A modern student hall near the centre of Nicosia designed by Charis Gregoriou of Economou Architects and Civil Engineers.

The architectural design conforms to the shape of the plot producing a narrow facade to the main street and a long and lean shape stretching between the adjacent residential buildings. A long corridor runs along the length of the structure separating the south side where the rooms are located and the north side where the common areas are located.

The aim for this student hall is to provide students with an affordable place to live without compromising at the same time a modern design, comfort and convenience: each room features its own kitchenette and toilet/shower-room whereas the common areas include a playroom, a gym, conference rooms, and a cafe.
